1. Our  news media studies continue with a focus now on the depiction of gender, race, and ethnic relations on local television.

2. Ethnoviolence in sports. A study of the manifestations of prejudice, discrimination, and ethnoviolence and its social implications.

3. Prejudice and self-perceptions in children.... Exploring the critical turning points in the development of self and other attitudes. This study of over 100 children is now being completed.

4. The design of a profiling instrument to enable citizens to analyze the spectrum of right-wing thought.

5. Studying the use of “hate crimes” as a means of influencing social policy.

6. The civil rights climate of cities. Using mainly demographic data, this is an attempt to “rate” cities by their level of safety or danger to the civil rights of its residents.

7. Factsheets/Newsletters on anti-Asian violence, housing and neighborhood segregation, workplace ethnoviolence, politics of victimization; and Central Asian populations in the USA.

8. We are presently exploring the development of a new paradigm for studying discrimination in intergroup settings.
